I had a bit of trouble with this as I was using a gas broiler for the first time, and not sure how that would affect timing. Also, I found no fresh salmon, so used frozen. It was still a pleasant dish, but I think with fresh salmon and a familiar broiler or grill it would have been excellent.
Asian Grilled Salmon
1 1/2 lbs/750g wild salmon fillets
1/2 cup/125 ml green onions or chives
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 Tbsp. minced garlic
1 Tbsp. sesame oil
1 Tbsp. ginger root, minced
Place the salmon in the middle of a large piece of aluminum foil and turn up the sides to make a boat.
Sprinkle evenly with the green onions or chives.
Combine the marinade ingredients in a bowl and pour evenly over the salmon.
Bring sides of foil together and seal edges.
ut closed foil package on a gas or charcoal grill.
Cook at medium heat until fish flakes, about 20 minutes.
