This turned out rather well. It is good with cream cheese or simply butter and makes a delicious toast. And so quick to make. If you prefer gluten-free bread, this is definitely one to try.
Wheatless Flat Bread
2 cups rye flour
/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup dry milk powder (optional)
1 Tbsp. honey
1 cup milk
2 Tbsp. melted butter or oil
Pre-heat oven to 450oF.
Combine the flour, salt, baking powder and dry milk powder.
Stir together the honey, milk and melted butter or oil.
Add liquid to dry ingredients and combine to make a smooth dough.
Pat into a large circle or square that is 1/2” thick.
Place on a parchment-lined or oiled cookie sheet.
Prick all over with a fork.
Bake until lightly-browned—about 10 minutes.
