Crunchy Granola

Crunchy Granola with fresh, chopped apples

Crunchy Granola
1/2 cup – 1 cup coconut
4 cups rolled oats
1 cup sunflower seed
1 cup wheat germ
1/4-1/2 cup sesame seed
1 cup peanuts or chopped walnuts
1 cup honey or brown sugar
1/2 cup oil
1 Tbsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven to 325oF.

Mix together coconut, rolled oats, sunflower seed, wheat germ, sesame seed, and chopped nuts.

In a saucepan combine brown sugar or honey with oil and cinnamon.
Bring to a boil, then pour over dry ingredients.
Combine until thoroughly mixed with no dry ingredients left uncoated.

Spread on two greased cookie sheets.
Bake about 30 minutes, stirring often.
Let cool, then break into chunks.
